For this tasting we are highlighting three budget friendly wines for Valentine’s Day. Whatever's on the menu, we have a bottle to cover your needs.
OCD Sauvignon Blanc Marlborough 2017
We begin the tasting with two sustainable wines from New Zealand's Otto's Constant Dream. First up is the OCD Sauvignon Blanc. This expressive sauv blanc delivers all the classic notes you would expect from a New Zealand sauvignon blanc but with a bit more restraint. Enjoy this as a pre-dinner wine, appetizers of feta and goat cheese or pair with a main course of Asian food and grilled fish.
OCD Marlborough Pinot Noir 2016
This pinot noir from OCD comes from two cooler climate vineyards in the Wairau Valley where clay soils deliver power while a gravel base brings elegance and finesse. The final result is a light, easy drinking pinot. A perfect pairing with lamb, pork, and salmon.
Grapesmith & Crusher Cabernet Sauvignon 2016
If you’re splurging on a prime steak for your dinner and looking for a cabernet that won’t break the bank, you can’t do much better than this bottle from Grapesmith & Crusher. It’s full and approachable revealing black fruit, cassis, pepper and noticeable tannins yet not overbearing.

Glendalough Gin Wild Botanical
From South of Dublin this is a flavorful Irish gin of fresh Spring notes with juniper, citrus and pine. A forest clearing in bloom. The taste is cool and mellow at first, rushing to nectarous summer flowers and hints of autumn fruits finally giving way to warm spice. The finish is long and sylvan, with warm winter spices.
Glendalough Rose Gin
Glendalough takes the Wild Gin recipe and redestills it with extra fruit. Flowers, spices...and of course a lot of fresh rose petals. Far from “just another pink gin”, it is a complex, flavorful, delicious experience.

Lambay Irish Whiskey Small Batch Blend
Lambay, a place of inaccessible mystery, and a new kind of Irish whiskey. Two very old families on a most unusual island, decided to form a unique partnership to make a whiskey. But not just any whiskey - their triple distilled Irish whiskey would be one of dynasty and devilment, of rarity and refinement. Their idea was to craft an innovative Irish whiskey inspired by the island of Lambay, a mere three miles off the coast of Dublin. Lambay Island, a veritable odyssey of oddities, is also home to a herd of grazing cattle, an improbability of puffins and an even more improbable troupe of red-necked wallabies. On the nose we get malt, green fruit, floral, ripe bananas. On the palate we have coconut, malt, dried berries/fruits, the finish is long lasting malt with lingering sweetness and green fruits.
